What the Texas Takeover Is All About
The Texas Takeover is quite simply, Fitness X in real life. It is a forum for all of us to come together, network, and motivate each other — much like we do daily on the X platform. There will be several speakers that discuss anything from “how to build a business” to “how to get jacked” to “how I summited Mount Everest.” It is an event you will not want to miss. Friday will be a meet-and-greet in the evening, while Saturday will be speakers, sponsor exhibitions, and a gym takeover for those that wish to partake. Details with a full program and sponsor information will be added as available.
The Texas Takeover is a Non-Profit Event
All net proceeds benefit A Badge of Honor, a non-profit organization out of San Antonio, Texas.
A Badge of Honor is dedicated to empowering first responders with practical tools for managing post-traumatic stress, stress relief, and resilience building. Since its inception, they have served more than 500 first responders — becoming a vital source of support and inspiring them to embrace their challenges as symbols of strength, wearing them as a badge of honor.

Samantha Horwitz
Co-Founder, A Badge of Honor
Samantha Horwitz is a 9/11 First Responder and former United States Secret Service Agent. She holds a B.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice and a J.D. from Howard University School of Law. An expert in post-traumatic stress (PTS) and resiliency training, she speaks nationally to diverse audiences on recognizing and managing PTS, reducing workplace stress, and supporting those affected — with a particular focus on first responder suicide prevention. Featured in People Magazine, FOX, ABC, CBS, and Blaze TV, Sam authored The Silent Fall: A Secret Service Agent's Story of Tragedy and Triumph After 9/11 and co-hosts A Badge of Honor TV with John Salerno.
